Toyota GT 86 Sedan rendered

It was only yesterday when rumors of a sedan GT 86 sedan emerged, and now we bring a render with the four-door version which is allegedly close to production series.

The artist behind these renders is Theophilus Chin who envisioned a red sedan GT 86 back in 2011 and now he updated his work with a black car which looks more appropriate for a production-ready model. If green-lighted for production, the four-door GT 86 will boast a 100mm extended wheelbase and could be shown in March next year at Geneva Motor Show.

The car will reportedly be offered as standard with the coupe's 2.0-liter boxer engine but an optional hybrid arrangement derived from the Yaris Hybrid-R concept is also in the cards with up to 268 bhp (200 kW) and a KERS system similar to F1 cars.

A market launch is expected towards the end of 2015 while pricing should be in the same region as the coupe.

Toyota Car Dealers

Toyota has considerably reduced the price tag of the 2014 Prius, allowing the base model to cost less than 30,000 USD.

At the beginning of the year Nissan reduced Leaf’s price by 6,400 USD to 28,800 USD while in August Chevrolet announced a massive 5,000 USD price cut for the 2014 Volt which now starts at 34,995 USD. Toyota has decided to follow the trend and they have slashed 2,010 USD from the base Prius' price tag which means the car can now be had from 29,990 USD.

For this money the 2014 Toyota Prius Plug-In comes as standard with a long list of goodies such as heated cloth front seats, remote climate, unique ten-spoke alloys and three years of Roadside

The upper-spec Advanced version benefits from a more significant 4,620 USD price reduction so it can now be ordered from 34,905 USD. This version comes with additional goodies such as eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat with power lumbar support, head-up display, premium HDD navigation with Entune, SofTex heated front seats and Safety Connect.

The Prius Plug-In Advanced can be optionally configured with a Technology Package which comprises LED headlights and fog lights, pre-collision system and dynamic radar cruise control.
Production will commence this month, with the cars arriving in dealerships across United States as early as November. The car is eligible for a 2,500 USD federal tax credit and for an extra 1,500 USD rebate in California's Clean Vehicle Rebate Program.

Nismo version due next year

Nissan GT-R's new production chief Kinishi Tanuma told he wants to boost production rate of the super car.

He replaced Kazutoshi Mizuno (considered to be the "father of the GT-R") who decided to step down as chief engineer of Godzilla. While rumors indicated the car would be axed, the truth is the exact opposite as Tanuma wants to produce more GT-Rs in the future.

Nissan wants to expand GT-R production

However, it will be difficult since the engines are hand-built and it takes a significant amount of time to train an employee to be eligible for producing the V6 3.8-liter twin-turbo engine. Right now they have only four "master craftsmen" who know the "takumi" method, with another person being part of the training program.
Nissan managed to deliver 1,118 GT-Rs in the United States in 2012, while through September this year they sold 952 units. 2014 will be the year when Nissan will introduce the Nismo-tuned GT-R which will allegedly do 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in two seconds.

Why buy used Car

Why buy used Car?

Used. Pre-owned. Previously enjoyed. Gone are the days of the shark-skin-suit-clad used car salesmen offering heaps that were owned by a little old lady who only drove it to church on Sundays. Today, late-model used cars are not only a safe buy, they make good financial sense. This article will highlight the advantages of buying used over new, so you can decide which is best for you.

The same car for less money

When you buy used, you miss out on the heaviest depreciation hit. A new Honda Accord LX will set you back around $21,500. Buy a similarly-equipped two-year-old Accord with 24,000 miles and you'll pay about $4,000 less. (And that's for a car that holds its value well. A Mitsubishi Galant ES costs about the same new as an Accord; 2 years and 24,000 miles later it's $7,000 cheaper.)

More car for the same money

A nicely equipped new Toyota Corolla XRS will set you back around $18,000. But what if you want something bigger? For the same amount of money, you could buy a two-year-old Toyota Camry loaded to the gills or a three-year-old Avalon, Toyota's biggest sedan. Planning on growing your family? You'll find plenty of four-year-old Honda Odyssey minivans in the new Corolla's price range.

You can also move up in prestige. A new Toyota Camry XLE V6 with all the bells and whistles is a nice ride; at $30,000 it had better be. But for the same price (or even a couple grand less), you could be stylin' in a two-year-old Lexus ES330, Audi A6 or BMW 325i.

Certified Pre-owned

More and more manufacturers offer "certified pre-owned" programs. Cars sold as certified pre-owned (CPO) bridge the gap between new and used. They are subject to a rigorous inspection and repair process, and usually are covered by a warranty from the manufacturer. CPO cars will usually cost a bit more, but the added warranty and peace of mind makes them a good value

The Strategical guide of buying Cars with Wheelsdealers

Before involving in any dealership we must make a field work. First we must decide which vehicle we want to buy. Many online portal websites offer complete vehicle information on the vehicles we wanted to buy. Before fixing the decision on a particular vehicle we must make sure to do necessary research on the comparative models and types of cars. There are many models of have cars which have the same kind of feature, body styles, engine performance, interiors, exterior etc. if we do the exploration on the vehicles we can finalize  the vehicle with our economical affordability.
Price quote should be collected from local dealership options and prior comparison should be done with other nearby dealership options. If we choose to visit a dealer first we must analyze the background of the dealerships. We must call the dealer directly, be sure they have the stock options on lot. Dealers always wants to build a relationship with their customers and are  always willing to do everything to get the desired vehicle we needed. So first and foremost step is inquiring about the car dealership will be the accurate details as possible.
After fixing the details the process of negotiation starts. We must know some of the price terminologies used by the dealers. Without knowing the price terminologies knowledge’s dealers can easily make you believe the price which he will be offering.
Invoice price: Price which manufacturer charges to dealer.
Base price: Price which determines the car with the most standard options as possible with factory warranties available on cars.
MSRP – manufacturer suggested retail price which is the maximum price a particular car can be sold.
Monroney sticker price: This price includes the manufacturers suggested retail price for each accessory or item of the item. this include information such as vehicles make and model.
Dealers sticker price: dealer sticker price is usually an add on which displays the suggested retail price of any dealer installed options or with additional dealer profit.
Carry over allowances: Dealers can sell the vehicles offered cash incentives by the manufacturer for purchasing sale off vehicles or the vehicles which has been stopped from manufacturing.
Based on these prices the vehicles are undergone the dealership options.
Once you are finalized with the used car dealer it’s time to choose your ceiling price with the car you are planning to buy. To start with, you need to research the cars retail value by inputting the make, model, year, options and mileage information at Used Car Information Center. This information is the fundamental foundation for the car selection. Once you are clear with the make, model, year, options and mileage data, you'll be provided with a value report that includes all the necessary details of the cars mileage, Condition , Owners details etc.
Once after knowing all the price terminologies and located the car information its time for a negotiation. A reasonable total sales price one with affordable monthly payments and one that includes incentives and rebates that make the deal even more appealing. Before you enter into the negotiation process, be sure to set a realistic high price limit you would feel comfortable paying for the vehicle. Remember to keep in mind your budget and your price limitations when you enter into the negotiation process and be firm about those limitations.

Honda Civic Tourer

Honda Civic Tourer chief engineer Adrian Killham has offered a brief description of the company's latest product developed exclusively in Europe.

The biggest asset of the 2014 Honda Civic Tourer is its class-leading 624-liter (22 cubic feet) cargo capacity which makes it more spacious than the previous first place holder, the Skoda Octavia Combi (610 liters). If you fold down the rear seats, the Civic estate boasts an impressive luggage capacity of 1,668 liters (58.9 cubic feet). It also comes with rear "Magic Seats" that can be easily folded in just one motion.

The design closely mirrors the five-door hatchback with the exception of the bigger and longer rear designed to increase boot space. Powering the 2014 Civic Tourer will be a 1.6-liter i-DTEC engine outputting 120 HP (88 kW) and 221 lb-ft (300 Nm) of torque. Customers will be able to pick a 1.8-liter i-VTEC motor developing 142 HP (104 kW) and 128 lb-ft (174 Nm).

The 2014 Honda Civic Tourer will be manufactured in United Kingdom and is programmed to go on sale early next year.

Tokyo Motor Show

Mitsubishi has announced plans to introduce the eK Space and eK Space Custom at the Tokyo Motor Show next month.

Described as a "super height wagon," the eK Space is the company's second kei car to be jointly-developed with Nissan.

The company declined to release specifications but said the model builds on the success of the eK Wagon by providing "an increase in cabin volume with an interior height that rivals the leaders in its class." As a result, the model has a box-like appearance that favors function over form. However, the car comes nicely equipped with tinted rear windows and an electric sliding rear door.

Mitsubishi eK Space announced, debuts at the Tokyo Motor Show

The four-seat cabin is relatively sparse but features metallic accents, a rear air "circulator" and a "touch panel" climate control system. Higher-end variants can also be equipped with a touchscreen infotainment system that has GPS navigation.

There's no word on what powers the model but we wouldn't be surprised if it uses the same three-cylinder engines as the eK Wagon and eK Custom. If this is correct, we can expect the model will have outputs of 49 HP (36 kW) and 64 HP (47 kW).

The eK Space and eK Space Custom will go on sale in Japan early next year and pricing will be announced closer to launch.

Mazda Engineers Push for a Return to Rear-Wheel Drive

Mazda engineers are lobbying for revival of rear-wheel-drive models, saying that the strategy would help the Japanese automaker to better differentiate itself against its rivals.

The push is coming from many of Mazda's senior and middle-ranking engineers. Products like the rear-wheel-drive Mazda RX-8 have been discontinued as the automaker focuses on front-wheel drive models. Mainstream models such as the 2014 Mazda 6 are front-wheel-drive.

Insiders at the company believe that this rear-wheel-drive strategy would produce more distinctive cars that are more fun to drive and would align more closely with the visual and dynamic character of the company's successful MX-5 Miata and RX series.

However, Mazda's top management is said to be resistant to the idea because of the cost of designing fresh architectures for its mainstream models.

Mazda might also find a partner in Alfa Romeo as it mulls the benefits of rear-wheel drive. The two are already collaborating on sports cars, including a new Alfa Spider to be derived from the next-generation MX-5.

The Italian brand is also said to be investigating rear-wheel drive for some of its mainstream models. However, there's no evidence yet of a deepening collaboration, and given the success that Mazda is enjoying with its current, predominantly front-drive range, a major switch to rear-drive looks unlikely in the immediate future.
